Dear Colleagues and Community Members,

On behalf of the Misophonia Research Fund, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 Misophonia Collaboration Forum on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Atlanta, GA (also offered virtually).

Last year, we launched this Forum with a clear goal: to bring researchers, clinicians, and members of the lived experience community into the same room — not simply to share findings, but to co-create solutions. Together, we identified critical gaps across the bench-to-bedside pipeline, including unanswered questions about mechanisms, limited diagnostic clarity, and the urgent need for accessible, evidence-informed care. Just as importantly, we witnessed the power of bringing different perspectives into conversation. Researchers gained insight into community priorities, clinicians highlighted barriers to care, and individuals with lived experience articulated both unmet needs and meaningful pathways toward hope.

In 2026, we move from co-creating solutions to co-creating strategies.

This year’s Forum is focused on action: how researchers, clinicians, and the lived experience community can work together to identify practical next steps to accelerate progress in understanding, awareness, care, and support for those with misophonia. Our aim is not only to generate ideas, but to foster coordinated, strategic movement across the field.

We look forward to building this next chapter together.

Sincerely,

Lauren Harte-Hargrove
